Why Detox Your Body??

This is Why We Need to Detox Our Body…

We keep ourselves clean on the outside but how many of us keep ourselves clean on the inside?
Many modern day natural healers believe that over 80% of chronic disease is caused in the colon, eventually leading to colon cancer. That is quite a staggering fact and worrying too.

A periodic detox method cleaning or cleansing program of the internal environment can help you feel refreshed and reduce the risk of potential problems brought on by an accumulation of toxins which can eventually make you quite ill. We are all regularly exposed to pollution from food additives, preservatives, heavy metals, (including drugs given to livestock) pesticide food, and chemicals in household products. This is why detoxification is so important.

The toxins can re-circulate in the body if the eliminatory functions are not working effectively...and fat-soluble toxins can be stored in fatty parts of the body for many years. It Works will explain how to rid your body of toxins effectively.

A toxic environment in the body can result in a lowered immune system, causing excess free radical damage and can provide an ideal habitat for bad bacteria, parasites and ultimately disease. The accumulation of toxins can overwhelm even the strongest body and skin, resulting in some of the health problems:
Acne, Constipation, Allergies, Fatigue, Bad breath, Gastrointestinal disorders,Weight Issues, Skin disorders, Bloating, Headaches, Body odor, Hemorrhoids.

In addition, many people just don't drink enough water, eat healthy foods or have a natural diet which is high in fiber, and this can often create irregular and infrequent bowel movements, potentially harming the colon and adding to the toxic load in the body. Eating fruits and vegetables along with drinking a good antioxidant drink will help with your fiber intake, and a green tea drink or our product Greens will also cleanse too.

It all sounds horrible doesn't it? What is the answer? It Works products will help with removing toxins, help with weight loss and give your body a natural spring clean from it all...and help you really feel the difference! The Ultimate Body Applicator will easily help you to detoxify, stop you from feeling ill, help you to feel much better, healthier and maybe even live longer! Treat yourself to a detox wrap. Amongst the many benefits of a natural body detox, cleansing helps with diarrhea and is a natural colon cleanse as well. Our product Regular is what we specifically recommend for a colon cleanse if people have irregularity issues! It works very well!

Whether we want to believe it or not, eventually we all have to face the music and reality!

Whether we want to (like it or not) we regularly, as part of our daily lives, absorb more harmful chemicals and other toxins into our bodies. Even heavy metals don't escape. The thing is that most of us are not aware of the harmful nature of them. Oblivious that they exist and yet we are surrounded by them in the foods we eat, products we use, unavoidable places we find ourselves in and even our own comfy homes etc. To thrive and survive in our world, YOU personally need to be prepared, plan for it, and have the know-how to get rid of toxic build-up within your own body and system.

It REALLY Works

Last month I was at the nail salon getting a pedicure. YES, I know I could do it myself...but I like to treat myself & relax :)  Anyhow, while I was there I saw a coupon for It Works.  It caught my eye when it said that it detoxes your body as well as tightens, tones and firms your skin.  The nail tech told me that it also helps reduce the appearance of celulite, stretch marks & varicose veins. THEN as if that didn't sound good enough he said that as a side effect is that most people lose about 3 inches a wrap.

I kinda laughed to myself. I mean, how could something work so well and be so in expensive? I had my doubts.  But then I thought, why not? I spend money on food for diets, detoxes, slim fast, Shaklee Cinch, etc. Who knows how much on beauty products to try and get rid of my celulite, and money every month for a gym I never have time/energy to go to. SO, I used the coupon and got an It Works Ultimate Body Applicator for only $30.00.  Gena met me at the nail salon and wrapped me in the wax room.  I drank a ton of water like she told me, then three hours later I had lost a total of 7 inches around my waist!

Just think. 7 inches, in 3 hours.

My results were amazing,  my skin felt the softest it ever has, it was tighter...and def. less squishy lol :)  On average people see about 3 inches, I would have been happy with that.  BUT 7 inches, got me hooked.  I started talking to my family and friends about my experience and before I knew it I became an It Works Independent Distributor.  It doesn't even really feel like work to be honest.  I just talk about products that I love.  Don't you talk to your friends about your favorite shampoo, this new skin care product that you recently tried, the latest and greatest movie or book that just came out, or even what store you prefer to get your baby food from.  I just knew that when I found something that ACTUALLY worked, I didn't want to keep it to myself.

4 wraps later ( 3 on my tummy and 1 on my love handles) and my love handles have started to shrink, along with my waist line.  My little tummy pouch isn't as noticeable, and my skin feels and looks the best I've ever seen it!  I've used their other products like their Defining Gel, on my neck & thighs twice daily. But I use it all over sometimes too. Their Fat Fighter is perfect for my sweet tooth & their Ultimate Thermo Fit is great weight loss supplement that helps curb my appetite & boost my energy. Then I also use their Lifting Lip and Eye Cream to help get rid of the bags under my eyes.  Then for my boyfriend, I use Greens.  I sneak it in his gatorade or orange juice in the morning to make sure he gets his daily dose of fruit and veggies for his long day of work. They have so many amazing products, I'm so happy with my results.

I'm very fortunate to have a boyfriend that is so supportive.  He doesn't need to lose weight or get in shape by any means.  However, who doesn't need to detox.  After one wrap he said that he could just feel that he had more energy.  That when he wakes up in the mornings he isn't as groggy and he is able to wake up faster.

These products are ALL NATURAL and they help to detox your body.  Not only help you look better, but actually be healthier too.  How is something that can help you be a healthier better looking you, not worth at least a try?

I don't know about you, but I know that I have a sweet tooth! I love smoothies, and drink them all the time.  I always like to try new combinations and make up new things.  Tonight I made a White Chocolate Strawberry smoothie.  It was SO simple!

What You Need:

-Frozen Strawberries
-White Chocolate Chips
-Milk
(Only 3 Ingredients!)

I poured about 1/2 C. Milk, 1 C. frozen strawberries and a hand full of chips into a blender.  Then blended until smooth.  It made enough for me, but it's easy to adjust if you want to make more.  You can play around with the amount of each ingredient to get the texture and flavor that you want. Another idea would be to add Vanilla Cinch to it and it would be a great meal shake. IT'S SO SIMPLE!

Since I've been on my own I've quickly learned that just because you're on a tight budget doesn't mean that you have to eat like it! I love to cook and the thought of living off of roman noodles and PB&J sandwiches sounds horrible to me! Shopping at Aldi can save a lot of money and still allow me to eat foods that I love. Here is one recipe that I find to be inexpensive, easy to make and delicious!

Shrimp Scampi (3 servings)
Ingredients
  • salt
  • 3/4 pound linguine
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic (4 cloves)
  • 1 pound large shrimp (about 16 shrimp), peeled and deveined ( I got a HUGE bag of shrimp at Walmart for only $5!)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
  • 1/4 lemon, thinly sliced in half-rounds

Directions
Drizzle some oil in a large pot of boiling salted water, add 1 tablespoon of salt and the linguine, and cook for 7 to 10 minutes, or according to the directions on the package.
Meanwhile, in another large (12-inch), heavy-bottomed pan, melt the butter and olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic. Saute for 1 minute. Be careful, the garlic burns easily! Add the shrimp, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, and the pepper and saute until the shrimp have just turned pink, about 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat, add the parsley, lemon juice, and lemon slices. Toss to combine.
When the pasta is done, drain the cooked linguine and then put it back in the pot. Immediately add the shrimp and sauce, toss well, and serve.
Dijon Vinaigrette for Salad
  • 1 ½ Tbs of your favorite Dijon mustard
  • The juice of one lemon
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Combine ingredients and stir. Mix well.  Pour onto salad right before serving.

WE DID IT!!!

After MANY years of HARD work, papers, stress, juggling jobs with school,
family, friends, and multiple jobs...
WE GRADUATED COLLEGE!!

This is my mom after she got pinned :) She was SO excited!

We were all laughing and having a good time!

I couldn't even explain, how satisfying it felt to walk across the stage and get my diploma.

My Godson was there too... Maybe he'll go to my alma mater?

College was full of good memories and interesting experiences,
but I can't say that I'm sad to see it go.
Now that this chapter is closed, it's time to start writing a new one :)
What was graduation like for you or someone you love?
